I recently stayed at Cataract Pyramids Resort for a week-long vacation. The resort's location is truly the best in the area, with its charming palm trees and peaceful atmosphere. The swimming pool is big and nice, and the front desk officers were incredibly jolly and helpful. The food court is also worth mentioning, as it offers a nice variety of options. Lastly, I must highlight the professionalism and friendliness of Mrs. Doaa in the canteen.
I highly recommend this hotel.

We liked the food and staff and reasonable prices. Good base for exploring Giza.

We liked the location. It was close enough to everything that we wanted to see, but was away from the busy-ness of Cairo. The "Italian" restaurant was a great way to relax after a day of site seeing, and their staff was fabulous! The atmosphere, and the facilities are beautiful! Absolutely a gem in the midst of the chaos of Cairo!
Mosquitoes!! In our rooms, outside, everywhere! We were eaten alive! When we left our kids looked like they had chicken pox. I was attacked in the middle of the night by the mosquitoes that had been hiding in the curtains in our room. When we arrived, they couldn't "find" our reservation. Also, each morning we had a difficult time finding a clean table to sit and eat. There was plenty off staff, but we had to ask them to clean a table for us.

Overall, the staff here were awesome, the rooms had AC, and the pool was simply fantastic. I felt like this place really lived up to its 4-star rating! 🌟

this hotel is very good value for money , beautiful swimming pool felt more like sharm el sheik then cairo. It was not as far out of cairo as i was expecting it to be. It was much nicer than a lot of more expensive hotels i stayed at in cairo, eg meridien.I booked a single room and got two beds which was nice as I like to stretch when i sleep. room was a nice size.breakfast was very good with a lot of choice.
mosqutos a bit of a poblem. The service was not quite up to scratch for a five star. The staff in the pool bar took ages to serve drinks and seemed unatentive and never had any change. They would always serve the arabic speaking custermers before me which i found rude. don't bother trying to go to the hairdressers they dont speak english and wanted to dye my hair black and charge me a great deal of money to do so, Im blonde and wanted highlights. dinner was not so great but good value at 100 le for open buffet but dont expect to be brought a drinks menue by the unattentive staff. The house keeping staf were realy great and very helpful This is a good hotel if you want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of cairo.

The food and service were great! The hotel also had a lovely outdoor pool and spa facilities. The location was very convenient, as it was close to many shops and restaurants.
The rooms were outdated and not very clean. We also had issues with the heating system, as it wasn't warm enough during the winter nights. The wifi signal was weak and only available in the common areas.

The atmosphere is super and the staff makes guest feel welcome. The pool area is amazing and give you a sense of relaxation and the staff there is very good. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast is nice.
The room service sometimes did not deliver stuff that was ordered. The restaurant next to the pool need to get the quality of their food up to standard as it is really sub-standard. The lady from the hair salon bothering guests at the poolside and calling rooms is not acceptable. We as guests felt intimidated and felt that our privacy was invaded because every time we were at the pool we were approached although we said we are not interested and messages were even left at our room. It is good to advertise for her maybe by distributing ads maybe in the rooms or just handing out a pamphlet at the pool, but not constant harrasment. We could see several guests being irritated with the lady and she kept on hassling them every day.

Fantastic pool and poolside staff, always attentive. Evening buffet offers delicious Egyptian food. Reasonable prices for the room.
Felt like treated like royalty, no complaint.

We loved the peaceful location of the hotel slightly away from the hustle and bustle of this city. The hotel facilities were excellent, especially the beautiful pool. Breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly and helpful.
Can't think of anything.

If I had not been treated very badly and had not been insulted heavily in this hotel, this could have been a nice accomodation, even in spite of the other negative aspects (see below) and in spite of the fact that this was not a five star resort. Positive: great pool, fine breakfast, moderate prices, some of the staff were very nice (esp. Around the pool area).
The treatment by some of the staff was scandalous for a supposed 5-star hotel. I was made to pay my room service bill one day before I checked out, because we moved some of my fiancés luggage to her new apartment. Even though I stated extremely clearly that we have still luggage in our room and even though the hotel had our passport numbers and credit card details the front desk manager insisted on paying. This means I was suspected of skipping the bill and thievery. I am still outraged about this behaviour and have never been treated worse in any hotel or even low budget hostel. Apart from that some of the staff were also quite unfriendly and unprofessional, especially in the breakfast room, where we had to call for the cook and members of the staff were sleeping or busy having private chats. Other negative aspects: very far away from the city (expect at least a one hour taxi ride into the city); the street leading to and away from the hotel is a disaster, even for Egyptian standards; the wifi in the lobby was extremely slow, the internet in the room did not work; the lobby would really need some renovation; quite a few services and dining options were not working due to Ramadan; there was no minibar of any kind in our room; the bathroom was not cleaned well; both atm machines in the lobby were broken at the same time; sometimes the smell of burning trash was blown into the compound of the resort; there was no view whatsoever of any pyramid. We cannot recommend this hotel!

The breakfast options were amazing. The hotel provided a big space for children to have fun. The resort's location was the best in the area, with calm outside and beautiful palm trees. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing.
Nothing all good.

The pool was large (the largest in Cairo) and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
The prices for food were expensive. For example it was 18LE for a can of Pepsi. The rooms were nice but outdated. I had to ask the pool staff to clean the pool because there was quite a bit of debris at the bottom--they did do it with a smile! The location of the resort was in a very dirty part of town and at no fault to the hotel, people were burning garbage outside the property and the smoke and stink was a bother.
